How Security Agencies Plan To Scuttle Edo Guber Election - Investigation

Ivotesng.com has exclusively report that there are sinister moves by security agencies to frustrate the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a free and fair election in the September 10 governorship election in Edo state.

In its reports it opined that in a surprise move by the police authorities, the Edo state police commissioner, Chris Ejike has been redeployed few days to the election. He is said to have been transferred to Police College lkeja. CP Ejike in close collaboration with the INEC Chairman and a select security Committee is said to have completely overhauled and put in place a new foolproof elections security architecture that was meant to forestall cases of violence induced inconclusive elections and crass manipulation by political actors. This new security strategy was to be tested in Edo and based on its success adjusted in Ondo for a broader security regime that will be put in place to confine rigging to the dustbin.
Our investigation also revealed that there are plans to similarly replace all the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the state as part of a grand plot to frustrate INEC's plans and leave the electoral turf as a free for all.
The sudden change and movement of security personnel has raised suspicion, with fears that the new security personnel being moved to the state will only come to carry out hatchet jobs.

A senior police officer that is in the know about these moves from the Louis Edet Headquarters of the Nigerian Police, but who insisted on not being quoted said to our reporter " if Edo fails, Nigerians should know who to blame ".
Efforts to speak with the INEC Spokesperson , Olowole Uzzi failed as his number was unreachable and messages sent went unanswered .
