Breaking News: Gov. Obaseki snob protesters escaped government house through back gate


Happening now in Benin, Governor Godwin Obaseki the executive Governor of Edo State few minutes ago snob a large crowd of protesters who are protesting the nefarious and illegal activities of Okomu oil Palm PLC in Edo state.

The governor on getting wind of the arrival of the protesters, rather than come out to address them as his predecessor would do rather escaped through the back gate

Meanwhile there was a public outcry when the chief of staff, comrade Osarodion Ogie asked the protesters to select 10 persons to come into the government house to talk with him. The protesters were aggrieved that official that got to government house through their PVC are now to big to come out and address the people that only few months ago they were kneeling to beg for their votes.

After over three hours of waiting at the gate of government house, the protesters which comprises over 21 affected communities, Conference of NGOs in Edo state and other civil society groups, got and and decided to proceed to the press center, at the NUJ. Just while the were turning to leave, the SSG stroller out to address the protesters.

This led to wide condemnation by the protesters who snobed him and proceeded to the NUJ for press briefing.

Some of the protesters, who spoke on conditions of anonymity accused the state government led by Mr Godwin Obaseki of siding the capitalist company against the interest of the people.

While addressing news men, a spoke person for the protesters comrade Agho Omobude frown at the action of the state government and their total disregard for the people who elected. He reinterpreted that since the state government have refused to assist the people, that they shall go back and re-strategies on how to engage the community directly. State that their next line of action will compel the state government to interfere by force.
