In a rather sad development,
SILNETNEWS has just gathered that the house of Obaseki is currently mourning following the death of the Obaseki of Benin and head of the entire Obaseki family, Hon Justice Andrew Otutu Obaseki.

Justice Obaseki, who passed away at the age of 91, was a former justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, and an uncle to current governor of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki.
It would be recalled that barely a month ago, precisely on the 11th of June, Governor Obaseki had, felicitated with his uncle as he celebrated his 91st birthday, during which period he also noted that his uncle had advised him not to pursue wealth as a political office holder.
