Five days after the burial of Mrs Maria Oredola Igbinedion, mother to two-time former governor of Edo State, Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion and wife of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the maid who allegedly strangled the Octogenarian and made away with her jewelries and unspecified amount of money has been arrested.
A close family source of the deceased who spoke on condition of anonymity told SilnetNews that the maid Ms Dominion Okoro has been arrested in Calabar but the family is keeping it quite until she has been transferred to Benin.

The alleged Killer maid is expected to be transferred to Benin any time soon to face the weight of the law.
Maria was married to Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom as his first wife. She is survived by the former governor, Bright Igbinedion, Patience and Philomena as well as grandchildren.
