There was a large crowd of confused sympathisers who helplessly gathered to watch the lifeless body of the three occupants in the house located at the street, behind Winners Chapel, Sapele road in Benin City., the victims include a lady, her friend who came to visit and the little boy living with her.
From the scene of the incident, it was obvious that the both ladies who were dressed in same outfit came back home from an outting the previous night and immediatly slept of with the generator on inside the kitchen. From the posture of their lifeless body it is obvious the ladies were either exhausted or drunk as they slept with their clothes and shoes on.
An onlooker who spoke on the condition of anonymity told SILNETNEWS that the ladies came back late and obviously too exhausted to carry out the generator and decided to put it on inside the kitchen before they slept off.
